About Barry Rotman.
Dr. Barry Rotman is the founder of Banner Peak Health in Walnut Creek, California. He has practiced medicine for more than 30 years and has spent the past 16 of them in concierge medicine.
His training emphasized the fundamentals of medicine — how to listen, perform a physical exam, and reason cognitively through a patient's case — before many of the system pressures that now undermine personalized care had taken hold. He started his career with enthusiasm and the highest of hopes.
In 2007 he founded his own medical practice so he could finally practice medicine to his fullest potential. As he describes it: "Finally, my patients were able to experience the uncompromising level of care they deserved." His next chapter is bringing together other physicians with the same standards so more patients can experience that level of care.
Outside of practice, Dr. Rotman enjoys being outdoors — hiking, biking, backpacking, and skiing with friends and family.
