About Cari Dawson.
Dr. Cari Dawson is a board-certified internist who has practiced at Rose Hospital in Denver since 2001. She holds a BA in biology from the University of Colorado, having begun her undergraduate studies at Bucknell University. She earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at UCHSC, where she received multiple awards for excellence — culminating in selection as Chief Resident.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Dawson holds a clinical faculty appointment at UCHSC and has mentored a generation of medical students and residents. Her clinical interests center on preventative medicine, cardiovascular health, and women's health. She has been recognized as a 5280 Magazine "Top Internal Medicine Doctor" by her peers in 2021, 2023, and 2024.
Dr. Dawson serves on the PPA Board because the alliance's national footprint extends the kind of integrated, longitudinal care she has spent her career building locally. She is the board member members most often consult on the operational mechanics of supporting patients through preventative protocols and multi-physician care plans.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Dawson enjoys exercising, the outdoors, travel, and time with her husband and their three children.
